        
ABOUT THE EPILEPSY NETWORK
This corporation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation, organized for charitable purposes,
Tax ID#91-2147275. The specific purposes for which this corporation is organized are to provide education, charitable assistance, encouragement, support, information, referrals, and advocacy for those touched by epilepsy. We are the only non-profit corporation and all-volunteer staff in Santa Cruz County solely dedicated to providing services for those whose lives are touched by epilepsy.
Brian and Susan Hogue founded this organization to provide a network of support for their son, Paul, and approximately 4,500 other people in Santa Cruz County with epilepsy, and to develop public awareness and understanding of people with seizure disorders in the community. Paul began having seizures two weeks before his 7th birthday. Now, 20 years later, Paul continues to have generalized tonic clonic and absence seizures while struggling with difficulties caused or intensified by his 'invisible disability' and it's medications.

to share the knowledge accumulated over these past 17 years through their advocating and searching for support, information, and resources, by creating this communication network.

to encourage self-advocacy, inspire to seek higher goals, magnify self-worth and create friendships!
